Quintessential Indian woman
This excerpt is basically a by-product of the contemplation of the Not-So-Superior race of mankind. Its not a generalisation of any specific event, but a tradition evolved gradually through the ages. It's not feminism that i am referring to, but a state of unawareness amongst the dominant race. Studies reveal that the Indian women are in actual terms, 40% more stressed than that in other clans. There are a host of factors contributing to this phenomena; some of them, head on affecting us while others impacting us indirectly. The basis of development in any system depends majorly to the values imbibed and passed on across generations. Currently, it seems, the ethical system is somewhat twisted. We have fashioned it as per our own will. Nothing but that makes our relationship status "Complicated " these days. There is a general lack of vision and a lack of communication which leads to unfulfilled ambitions and unsaid words. Analysing the person at fault doesnt essentially get us to a conclusion. I remember when we wished to just rush across the grounds with our friends after school, and just when we had yet not had enough of it, we used to hear mom yelling at us for extending it through our study time. We were emphasised upon the dire necessity of being in the good books of our class teacher.Topping the class seemed like a victory as good as that for the Greeks in Trojan War. Especially, we were taught to be self sufficient so as not to depend on anyone except yourself.
With ambitions at such a high note, and striving to achieve everything that is the prerequiste for a living, the indian women have finally come up to that position where they can carve a niche for themselves in the biased world. Enter relationships, and thats when they suffer a whiplash.Their sensitised state of mind comes in the way of their major goals in life. Its easy to get involved in a relationship these days, as compared to the antediluvian times, even easier to get separated.Broken relationships are the prominent setup in the present era.Ask a guy and it would be framed as follows, " She.s smart, intelligent, attractive, i have dated her for a while, but alas! she wont, fit in my family setup". It can be by either individuals involved in a relationship. It can be the situation for men as well. People lack conviction and purpose which complicates their lives on the whole. Its actually not about the hardships faced, its about your conviction and your guts which are quintessential to drive your relationship. If there is path for doubts, then do steer clear of your partner from the start, instead of wasting her valuable days.Basically, you can convince people in case you have convinced yourself. That is when Indian women, succumbing to family and societal pressure, step into something against their heart's content and not upto the deserving level which is actually the initial stress induction programme. Eventually, career goals take a backseat and family comes on the forefront. I remember reading Chetan Bhagat's decription about the times when he struggled as a writer. He had thanked the heavens' that his wife was a talented & successful entrepreneur, and capable to survive them through the times when he was jobless and aspiring to be a writer. He wasnt the sort of guy waiting for hot phulkas @ dinnertime, rather appreciated his wife for her capabilities in her career. That is indeed inspiring and such a quality should be imbibed upon, by the guys in our generation who need to understand the additional perks, you can have if you are supportive of your better halves and of all the women in your vicinity. Appreciate women and respect their emotions, coz who knows, the same situation may backfire your plans anyday. Cheers!!!!!
